Gizmo the birthday Clown

Gizmo the birthday clown is available for many events but is best for kids magic birthdays. The 14 year old son of magician Chad Wonder, Gizmo has spent years watching and helping Chad work with children. Gizmo is simply amazing with the children and unbelievably wise beyond his years. He is red cross trained in babysitting, CPR and first aid. He has been clowning since 2009.

Here are some tips we would like to share with you when considering a clown for your party:

1. Why you’re afraid of clowns… Makeup, plain and simple. A circus clown is smeared in makeup and it looks like a mask, masks are scary. Circus clowns entertain at a distance,and it’s great for them, it’s when you see them close up it’s disturbing for some people.
2. Gizmo has a child-friendly (adults for that matter) look and won’t scare the kids. A children’s entertainer at your party works more closely with the children.
3. Make sure your clown “breaks the ice.” A good clown will give the kids a chance to warm up to him or her and not approach any kids directly until it is clear that the child is relaxed. Gizmo breaks the ice quickly by making a balloon birthday hat for the birthday boy or girl.
4. Try to create a space where Gizmo (and the magician) can work free of distractrions, such as helium balloons, toys, and especially adult conversation. It’s challenging to any entertainer to keep the kids attention in ther middle of a grown-up conversation.
5. Gizmo will tie balloon animals for the kids while you serve cake or sing happy birthday. Gizmo will even serve cake or help out with any special requests.
6. It very important you supervise children with balloons. STOP kids (and pets) from putting inflated or deflated balloons in their mouths, even if that child is not yours. Pick up popped ballons (and there will be plenty of them).
